Use the MOUSE cursor and press the left button of the mouse, in order to keep Miles in the air and rise above the obstacles. If you want MERC to fly lower, you will have to release the MOUSE, but watch out though, if they fall, then you lose the game, and it's the same thing if you hit an obstacle.
